I am delighted and honoured to extend our warmest invitation to the 2nd Edition of the Mayo Model G20 Summit at Mayo College. The Summit holds a unique significance for us at Mayo College, as it serves as a pioneer event on our school calendar. It is an event that will, for years to come, represent a part of our identity, one that we will be proud to share with our peers from across the region. As I pen this letter, The Directorium and The Secretariat are diligently toiling and relentlessly working on gearing up for the exciting and awaited second edition of the Mayo Model G20 Summit. Cloaked in ivy and vine, the brick wall of the New Block acts as a bastion, within which lie the verdant foliage and sprawling lawns of the Mayo College campus, eagerly awaiting delegates from across the globe. We live in an age where we are bombarded with an overwhelming amount of information every day, and the proliferation of technology has led to a blurring of lines between reality and fiction. With our fiery and engrossing meeting agendas, we aim to have intense debates leading to peaceful resolutions. Our diverse slate of meetings covers some of the most pressing issues of today. Each of these meetings will challenge you to think beyond the boundaries of conventional wisdom and offer a new perspective to take beyond this summit.

 

Our motto of Mayo College is ‘Let there be light’; along these lines, as young leaders, we are about to inherit a world that is becoming increasingly fragmented.
